Hosted by the International Association of Mediators and Poly-Experts (IAMPE), and proudly co-hosted and supported by the Municipality of Pafos, this event will take place in the historic setting of Palia IIektriki in Pafos’ Old Town, right in the heart of the city center. This iconic venue offers a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, setting an inspiring stage for young talents worldwide to showcase their skills in diplomacy and mediation.

This competition is designed to inspire and challenge participants through a hybrid format, enabling both in-person and virtual participation. Competitors will engage in realistic diplomatic mediation scenarios, enhancing their skills in negotiation, cross-cultural understanding, and peacebuilding.
Overview
The International Diplomatic Mediation Competition is a premier event designed for aspiring mediators, diplomats, and professionals in the field of international relations.
This competition offers participants the opportunity to hone their mediation skills, engage in high-stakes negotiations, and explore innovative solutions to complex global conflicts.
Through realistic scenarios, unique formats, and engaging formats, competitors will gain invaluable experience in diplomacy, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Purpose In an increasingly interconnected world, the ability to mediate and resolve conflicts is more crucial than ever.
Our competition aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders who are equipped with the skills and knowledge to navigate complex international disputes.
By simulating real-world mediation scenarios, we provide participants with a platform to develop critical thinking, effective communication, and creative problem-solving skills.

1. Rounds Overview
The competition will consist of multiple rounds, each designed to test different aspects of mediation and negotiation skills.
Participants will engage in:
- First Round: Team Scenario-Based Negotiation (draft)
- Second Round: The case study and diplomatic negotiation (draft program will be published soon)
- Final Round: Debates and Presentations to Non-Profit Organizations (judges)
Each round builds upon the skills developed in the previous one, ultimately culminating in a high-stakes mediation scenario that will challenge participants to apply their knowledge in a realistic setting.
2. Scenarios Final Round:
Debates in International Mediation Diplomacy (new format) The case scenario will be sent officially to each registered team and assessors.
3. Format and Logistics
The competition will be held in both in-person and online formats, ensuring accessibility for all participants.
Each round will be carefully structured, with clear guidelines and time limits to maintain engagement and focus.
Judges will evaluate participants based on their performance in negotiation, presentation, and collaboration.
