HERA LEGACY: DOMINA PACIS
The Hera Legacy: Domina Pacis –
The Lady of Peace
An IAMPE Global Project Honoring Women Who Create Peace through Leadership, Wisdom, and Compassion.
The International Association of Mediators and Poly-Experts (IAMPE) proudly introduces the IAMPE Awards for Mediation Diplomacy and Global Peacebuilding — a tribute to women whose vision, courage, and leadership redefine the meaning of peace in the modern world.
Established in 2025, the IAMPE Awards celebrate the legacy of three extraordinary historical figures — Queen Tamar of Georgia (Tamar Mepe), Diana Abgar (Armenia–Japan), and Palma Guillén (Mexico) — whose diplomatic wisdom and moral strength continue to inspire new generations of mediators and peace architects.
Each award embodies a timeless ideal of diplomacy — justice, knowledge, and compassion.
“Feminae Pacem Creant”
The HERA LEGACY: DOMINA PACIS is the highest honor conferred within the International Association of Mediators and Poly-Experts (IAMPE).
It celebrates the timeless lineage of women who have shaped diplomacy and peace — from ancient rulers to modern mediators — weaving myth, history, and humanity into one living tradition.
Inspired by the divine feminine triad — Hera, Athena, and Eirene — the award reflects the three pillars of mediation diplomacy: justice, wisdom, and peace.
Each year, IAMPE honors three women whose lives embody these principles, continuing the moral architecture of global harmony.
Symbolism:
The Medal of the Lady of Peace unites the olive branch of Hera, the owl of Athena, and the dove of Eirene — crowned with the phoenix of renewal.
Engraved with IAMPE’s motto: Feminae Pacem Creant.
Meaning:
It represents both heritage and duty — a sacred continuity of feminine diplomacy, rooted in truth, justice, and humanity.
Nominees for the Domina Pacis Medal must:
Demonstrate excellence in mediation, diplomacy, peacebuilding, or intercultural dialogue.
Promote ethical leadership and inclusive governance.
Advance education, research, or gender equity in diplomacy.
Inspire through personal integrity, compassion, and courage.
Each nomination is reviewed by the IAMPE Advisory Council, composed of international experts, diplomats, and mediators.
Eligibility:
Open to women of outstanding professional or humanitarian achievement.
Organizations, universities, or diplomatic bodies may nominate candidates.
Self-nominations are accepted with supporting references.
Frequency: Every II Years. Awards are presented during the IAMPE Global Symposium/Congrecc on Mediation Diplomacy.

The ATHENA Medal – Power in Knowledge
Named after Diana Abgar

This medal celebrates the spirit of Diana Abgar — a pioneering Armenian diplomat and author, one of the world’s first female ambassadors, who used her pen and diplomacy to defend humanity in times of crisis.
Focus Areas: Academic diplomacy, intercultural mediation, human rights advocacy, and innovative diplomacy research.
The EIRENE Medal – Power in Peace
Named after Palma Guillén
Awarded to women who embody compassionate mediation and humanitarian diplomacy, promoting peace through dialogue, education, and global cooperation.

Focus Areas: Peace education, social cohesion, women’s empowerment, and humanitarian diplomacy.
The IAMPE Awards mark a new chapter in inclusive diplomacy — one that recognizes the feminine architecture of peace as a source of global stability.
By celebrating the legacies of Tamar, Abgar, and Guillén, IAMPE affirms that diplomacy is not only negotiation — it is culture, empathy, and human connection.
Each medal is not merely an honor but a symbol of global responsibility — inspiring future generations of women to lead, educate, and mediate across cultures.
