INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR PEACE AMBASSADORS OF IAMPE
INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR PEACE AMBASSADORS OF IAMPE
The International Junior Peace Ambassadors of IAMPE are a global educational and peacebuilding initiative that recognizes children not only as dreamers of peace but as active contributors to a more compassionate and understanding world.
Established by the International Association of Mediators & Poly-Experts (IAMPE), the Initiative empowers children through creativity, dialogue, art, education, cultural understanding, and humanitarian values.
We believe that peace begins with a single act of kindness, a single idea, a single drawing, a single voice.
Children may be young, but their messages often carry the wisdom the world most needs.
Inspired by the words of young peacebuilder

"As a child, I believe peace needs a home."
Our Story
The initiative emerged from the IAMPE International Art Project:
What started as an international artistic competition quickly became something much larger.
As artwork arrived from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, one common message appeared again and again:
Children were speaking about peace with honesty, courage, wisdom, and compassion.
Many of their reflections contained insights that adults spend years trying to understand.
We realized that recognizing a child with a certificate was not enough.
A single award lasts a day.
A title lasts a year.
But belonging to an international community of young peacebuilders can inspire a lifetime.
For this reason, IAMPE established the International Junior Peace Ambassadors Initiative.
The Initiative creates a bridge between creativity and leadership, between art and action, between imagination and responsibility.
It offers children an opportunity not only to participate but also to belong.
To be recognized.
To be encouraged.
To be remembered.
To become part of a growing international family committed to peace, dialogue, understanding, and human dignity.
The International Junior Peace Ambassadors of IAMPE provides young people with an international platform to share ideas, creativity, and messages of hope.
Through art, education, intercultural dialogue, storytelling, and community engagement, children become part of a global network dedicated to promoting friendship, understanding, respect, and human dignity.
The Initiative encourages children to discover that even small acts of kindness can create meaningful change.
To provide children with an international platform where creativity, education, kindness, and intercultural understanding become tools for building a culture of peace.
Across the world, children continue to witness conflict, displacement, intolerance, division, and uncertainty.
Yet children also continue to demonstrate resilience, hope, empathy, and extraordinary creativity.
Through art, writing, storytelling, music, education, and community engagement, young people possess the ability to shape cultures of peace long before they enter positions of leadership.
The International Junior Peace Ambassadors of IAMPE seeks to nurture that ability.
We do not ask children to solve global conflicts.
We ask them to keep alive the values that make peace possible.
Kindness.
Respect.
Friendship.
Understanding.
Compassion.
Hope.
These values remain the foundation of every peaceful society.
And often, children protect them better than adults.
In 2026, IAMPE appointed the first generation of Founding International Junior Peace Ambassadors:
Leo Karapetian
Aaron Abata Perez
Antranig Mgrditch Paroian
These young peacebuilders hold a special place in the history of the Initiative and will remain permanently recorded as the Founding Class of 2026.
The official motto of the Initiative:
was inspired by the words and artwork of Antranig Mgrditch Paroian through his project "Where the Dove Comes to Rest."
The International Registry of Junior Peace Ambassadors serves as the official record of appointments made under the Initiative.
The Registry recognizes ambassadors, their achievements, publications, creative projects, and contributions to peace education and intercultural understanding.
The initiative originated from the IAMPE International Art Project:
This project invites children from around the world to express their vision of peace through art, creativity, and imagination.
Each artwork tells a story. Each story becomes a voice. Each voice contributes to a larger conversation about building a more peaceful future.
Through the official publication platform Voices of Young Peacemakers, ambassadors may share the following:
Articles;
Essays;
Peace Messages;
Artwork;
Interviews;
Personal Reflections;
Community Initiatives.
The publication serves as a living archive of children's ideas, hopes, and contributions to peace culture.
Children may be nominated or selected through participation in IAMPE educational, cultural, artistic, and peacebuilding initiatives.
The program welcomes children who demonstrate:
Creativity;
Kindness;
Leadership;
Respect for Diversity;
Community Engagement;
Commitment to Peace.
The International Junior Peace Ambassadors Initiative welcomes collaboration with schools, educational institutions, cultural organizations, peacebuilding networks, community groups, and international partners who share the vision of empowering children as ambassadors of peace.
Together, we build a world where peace is not only taught,but lived.
There are moments when the world listens to experts, leaders, diplomats, and decision-makers.
And there are moments when the world should listen to children.
The International Junior Peace Ambassadors of IAMPE were born from one such moment.
It began with a simple yet profound message written by an eleven-year-old child participating in the IAMPE International Art Project "Peacemaker Through the Children's Eyes."
The child wrote:
"As a child, I believe peace needs a home."
Those words reminded us of something that adults often forget.
Peace is not only created in conference halls, negotiation rooms, courtrooms, or diplomatic meetings.
Peace begins in homes.
Peace begins in classrooms.
Peace begins in the imagination of a child who still believes that kindness matters.
It begins when a young artist paints hope.
When a child helps a friend.
When a young person chooses understanding over division.
When creativity becomes a language that connects people beyond borders, cultures, religions, and generations.
The International Junior Peace Ambassadors of IAMPE was established to recognize this extraordinary potential.
We believe that children are not merely the future.
They are already contributors to peace today.
Their voices matter.
Their ideas matter.
Their dreams matter.
Their creativity matters.
And their vision of the world deserves to be heard.
The initiative operates under an official governance framework adopted by IAMPE, including

Terms of Reference;
Membership & Appointment Policy;
